You can join CSOTFA - District 6 if you live in the following California Counties: Shasta, Trinity, Lassen, Siskiyou, Humboldt, Del Norte, Tehama, Modoc and the Plumas County Panhandle.

The California State Old Time Fiddlers Association - District 6 is dedicated to the preservation & perpetuation of authentic old-time fiddle music.

 

If you like Old Time Fiddling and want to join us in promoting Old Time Fiddle Music and music events, please consider joining CSOTFA - District 6 as a supporting member.  Membership entitles you to receive not only our local District 6 newsletter “The Grapevine” but you also receive the CSOTFA State Newsletter “The Sound Post”.  A portion of membership registration fees support our local jam sessions and other events put on by CSOTFA District 6.  

You can also support CSOTFA District 6 by taking out an add in the District – 6 Newsletter “The Grapevine” or the CSOTFA State Newsletter “The Sound Post”.  This is a great way to show future clients and customers just how much you care about Old Time Fiddling.

About California State Old Time Fiddler's Association

The California State Old Time Fiddlers Association (CSOTFA) was incorporated on June 24, 1969. The CSOTFA is a 501.c.3 nonprofit organization and may accept tax-deductible donations.

The organization began as a local "jam" in the 1950s in Butte County California. In the early "jam" days, it was a general "country music" affair and encouraged all instruments including accordions and singing. When this informal group became incorporated the emphasis shifted to "Old Time Fiddle Music"

Over the years 12 Districts have organized throughout the state. In December 1992 the Articles of Incorporation were amended to emphasize the "fiddle" as the purpose of the Association.  There is also a focus on back-up Guitar and Maondolin Styling and all of the contests have picking divisions for non-fiddle players.
