CSOTFA District 6 - Monthly Jam

Viva Downtown Redding has asked CSOTFA - District 6 musicians to host a fiddle jam all through the Market Fest street fair for 2010 at the Downtown Redding Mall. Who could say "no" to that? (we said "yes")

So, every Thursday evening from June 17th through August 26th, 2010 we will be jaming at MarketFest. We start playing at 6:00PM and stop around 9:00 PM

Our Jam Booth is located near the Corner of Placer St. and California St. down by the organic food vendors. The Market Fest people are really nice folks and they have a tent set up for us in the shade of the near by buildings.

There are a lot of food booths and the usual street fair crafts, hats, clothes, kids, street vendors etc. And and lots of your friends too who would sure like to see you come on out and help us keep our Old Time Music going.

This is a really great opportunity for us to serve our community and help spread the word about CSOTFA and Old Time Fiddle music. Bring your instrument and drop on by any time and join the jam for as long as you like, we're hopping to see even more of us come out and play.

The District 6 Monthly Jam is held
the First Sunday of each month

The public is always invited to come and join in on the fun.

These Monthly Jam Sessions are all about
Fiddling (and picking) around with Old Time Jigs,
Reels, Hoedowns, Waltzes and Tunes of Choice.
Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced
players of all ages come and learn new songs,
have fun with old friends and make new friends.
The public is always invited
to come watch, listen
and dance if you like...
